The Lambretta Fishtail Parka has now arrived in store and is looking great as it does every Autumn/Winter. The Parka has been updated from last years design with a few differences. The outer shell is the same with two press stud closing flapped pockets. Full front zip with press stud covered overlap. Drawstring waist pull cords can be used to shape the waist for a slimmer shape. Two sleeve buttons widths can be used to either reduce the cuff size to shorten the length of the sleeve or to keep the cold out. Set to the larger opening will allow enough width to wear a pair of gloves. New for this year is the detachable hood which also has a detachable fur lined brim. There are two badges on the left upper arm. The top badge is a block strip and has the wording “Carnaby Street W1”. The second badge is a shield shape with the Lambretta logo on the top and the Saint George flag below with the English Lion all in a coordinating khaki colour. Inside the jacket is a detachable fleece lined inner which can be removed to make it lighter and cooler depending on the weather. The inner is secured with buttons and also has a large zipped pocket inside. This is a quality Parker made from 70% Cotton and 30% Nylon making it a very durable jacket.
The Lambretta fishtail parka is based on the M-1951 style jacket worn by the Mods in the 1960’s and again in the 1979 to 1982 mod revival. It has become a classic heritage piece today and is in every mod and scooterists wardrobe.
Priced at £140 this Parka will keep you warm on those cold winter days and nights to come. My Lambretta Parka is 7 years old now and is still in great condition. So good in fact that it is frequently worn by my 16 year old son!
